Construction of the CKS Capacitors
The capacitors are extremely damping- and inductance-free. By means of a Kal-Verschweißung (cold welding) or crimp connection of the external metallized connectors, absolutely reliable contact is guaranteed for HF micro-soldering pressures during processing. An excellent interference-free operation between the laminated layers and the current electrode is visible.
The housing of the capacitor is absolutely sealed for moisture. The enclosure is a PVC heat-shrink tube; shrunk onto polystyrene. The label is obligatory; the CKS marking is exclusive to the series only.

The printed circuit versions come in three different mechanical designs that allow optimal space accommodation (Raumanpassung) depending on board layout:
- Version A — upright placement on the component side
- Version B — placement in between (between rows), extremely flat
- Version C — flat on the component side, well-suited for SMD mounting on flat boards
Extremely damping and inductance-free. Impulse losses of the combined layers with an especially favorable self-capacitance for HF micro-soldering are given. An excellent interference-free operation between layers is ensured. No unstable film wound with these versions is employed; the two layers, self-adhering insulated, produce a controlled round-wound structure.

Why Build Capacitors — Schumann? (Kondensatoren baut Schumann — wozu?)
For the developer who wants precision capacitors in a rational large-scale production that cannot be purchased in any catalog from suppliers of normalized parts:
- In C-values: any value within the scope of the series — in sequence
- Narrow tolerances: Minimum tolerance of ±0.5% for any C-value — thus virtually any realizable value
- In volume: from 10 pieces, 96 per series, for the relay (Schaltbild) is self-evident
