Electronic Analog Computer RA 463/2
The analog computer RA 463/2 is an optoelectronic device for repetitive problem-solving. The computing time can be varied between 0.1 and 172 seconds continuously. Due to repetitive operation, the results of individual computing elements can be observed with the naked eye on an oscilloscope, and by monitoring the outputs of the computer in a compressed time frame the setup and checking of the computer is simplified considerably. The individual computing elements of the machine are designed in modular construction and equipped with full component testing; through this arrangement, a failed computing element can be replaced within a very short time and the removed element repaired separately. The standard configuration of the RA 463/2 includes:
- 5 computing amplifiers
- 1 function generator
- 21 function potentiometers
- 2 time-base generators (Zeitgeber)
- 31 coefficient potentiometers with motor-driven adjustment
- 5 multipliers
and accessories.
The electronic analog computer RA 463/2 is particularly suited for solving ordinary differential equations, and due to its modular structure it has a broader range of application including the analysis of technical systems.
